Faculty Achievements

Dr. Sarita Kumar and Dr. Seema Makhija were awarded Distinguished Teachers Award by H.E. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in 2009.

Three faculty members of the Department are embellished with the Meritorious Teacher Award by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

  • Dr. Sarita Kumar in 2011
  • Dr Ravi Toteja in 2016 and
  • Dr Seema Makhija in 2018

Dr. Sarita Kumar, Dr. Monisha Khanna, Dr Seema Makhija and Dr Ravi Toteja have been recognized to supervise students for Ph.D degree.

Dr Monica Misra has been appointed as Member of Interim Group of Institute of Eminence (IoE) of University of Delhi. She was also elected Academic Council (AC) member for two consecutive times i.e. 2010-2012 and 2012-2014.

Dr Sarita kumar is Recipient of Anil Sadgopal Award for Popularization of Science and contribution to Science Outreach-2020 by HBCSE-TIFR, Mumbai in 2019 & 2020.

Mr Ravinder Sagar has the following patents to his credit:

  1. Coauthor in patent “Radioprotective herbal extract and its process thereof” Indian patent office, New Delhi. (Rhodiola).
  2. Coauthor in patent “A process for Preparation of a Radioprotective Herbal Extract” Indian patent office, New Delhi. (Hippophae)
  3. Coauthor in patent “A process for Preparation of Radioprotective Herbal Extract” (Based on Tinospora sps.), Indian patent office, New Delhi.
