Alumni

The Department believes that the student-teacher relationship shouldn’t fade at the end of the course duration. So, it stays in touch with its students by inviting them as eminent alumni during workshops and Society functions as resource persons or to deliver invited talk.

The annual Alumni Meet is another platform that is provided to the alumni and existing students to interact with each other and to share their experiences. Electronics alumni have excelled in almost every domain, whether it is industry like ST Microelectronics, Wipro Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, Sapient, Accenture, HCL Technologies, Cognizant, Microsoft or teaching in higher education institutions as Assistant/Associate Professor, the banking sector or Defence Services to name a few. The alumni of the Department have grown from strength to strength and matured so much in the last 29 years that they have started supporting the college by instituting various scholarships. The Abhinav Halen Scholarship is one such scholarship started by Mr. Abhinav Halen, a student from the first batch of the Department. With his corpus contribution, the college gives two scholarships of Rs. 15,000/- each to the students of B.Sc (H) Electronics. Another scholarship, Teena Gupta Memorial Scholarship, has been started by the father of one of the star alumni, Ms. Teena Gupta, who passed away at a very young age. She was the University gold medalist both at the UG and PG level and worked as a lecturer in the college. Through the corpus contribution made by her father, the college gives six scholarships of Rs. 6,000/- each. Out of these six scholarships, three are exclusively for the students of B.Sc. (H) Electronics.
